I made some plastic templates to draw the pieces. 
I've drawn with templates in different fabrics. Cut 4 squares, 2 and 2 brown roses for the center reels. 16 traps, 4 pink, 4 brown and white 8 
Once cut the pieces, start by sewing one of the traps to the square of the same color. 
Then sew the other trapeze on the opposite side of the square. 
then sew the white traps the remaining sides of the central square. 
Finally sew the sides of the trapezes, white with brown, the 4 remaining sides. 
Press seams and we have the first reel
We do the rest of the blocks.
sew the reels and have the finished block, one with 4 rolls of 18 cm., 4 reels of 9 cm. each, and the tuning we have a block of 12 cm., CONUN single reel.
Another way is to do with triangles
cut 16 triangles of the base color, in this If yellow, 8 triangles pink and brown

In this case I have two pieces, a base color and one color for each of the reels, with the right face and sew the squares to form triangles place it in the corners.
We put the pieces forming the spool piece to piece and sew.
We form the block.
